Hotel Emiliano Rio stands amiably with open doors at Avenida Atlântica, 3804, a peaceful and strategic prime location in Copacabana beach, near the Fort. Recognized over the years for its friendly and exceptional personalized services, attentive butlers and a dedicated team which provides the exceptional care of São Paulo coupled with “carioca” charm.
The contemporary design by Arthur de Mattos Casas, a renowned architect who also designed Emiliano São Paulo, has unique characteristics. The hotel concept flaunts Brazilian modernism and features a design that integrates sophistication and comfort to the liveliness of Rio.
The façade of Emiliano Rio deserves mention. Intricate surfaces named “cobogó” were specially designed to improve the experience of light, landscape as well as to create privacy. These can be operated as articulated panels revealing the inside of rooms. The leaked elements lining the entire building were designed exclusively for the hotel and seek to break the continuity of the concrete blocks of buildings on the waterfront. The facade is alive and its organic design is ever changing according to guests' preferences.
At the reception, a panel of the renowned artist Roberto Burle Marx welcomes guests. Selected fabrics and textures of the lobby furniture in shades of green honour the nature of the Guanabara Bay. The decor throughout the hotel has elements that value the heydays of Copacabana’s bohemian golden years with furniture designed by renowned designers of the 50's, bringing personality and a touch of comfort to its modern architecture.
The Emiliano Rio was designed in every detail to maximize comfort and exclusivity. Spaces are vast with some of the highest standard dimensions in the luxury hospitality industry. The sunlight is well explored to brighten accommodations and counter balance the vibrant furniture colours.
The hotel has 90 comfortable rooms, one third of them being suites, also bringing to Brazil a new concept of Spa Suites. A selection of suites is available comprised of the Ocean Master Suite, Ocean SPA Suite, Courtyard SPA Junior Suite, Ocean Emiliano Suite, Ocean Junior Suite, Ocean Deluxe, Deluxe Twin Courtyard and Deluxe King Courtyard.
As with the Emiliano São Paulo, all suites and apartments feature exclusive details in the decor and a combination of distinct advantages, such as 500 thread Egyptian cotton sheets, Hungarian goose feather pillows, Japanese heated toilet seats, high-tech automation, and internet.
The Emile restaurant features contemporary cuisine with the best Brazilian organic products, prepared thoroughly by Chef Damien Montecer, with the minimalist essence and consistency already established in the Emiliano São Paulo. Divided into two rooms with a warm atmosphere, a huge vertical garden reproduces the feel of the Atlantic Forest surrounding the restaurant tables. Launched at the most recent Milan Furniture Show, the “lampião” chairs, designed by Arthur de Mattos Casas, constitutes some exclusive details of this restaurant.
A true oasis located on the 11th floor, the Santapele Spa promotes rebalancing and provides multisensorial experiences to harmonize body and mind with specific treatments focused on three pillars: relaxing, detoxifying and invigorating. With a well-being curation, the spa was designed to integrate the wet areas of the hotel, such as the experience showers and saunas. The Technogym equipped fitness center overlooks the sea for guests to exercise in the best “carioca” style, but with total privacy. Along with the rooftop, an 11,850 sqf area is dedicated to moments of wellness.
Located on the same floor as the Santapele Spa, the Spa Suites provide an extension of its experience in a more intimate ambiance, combining accommodation with exclusive treatments and customized programs to meet couple's needs. It is the perfect setting for guests to relax, recharge, elevate their mood and enjoy special occasions.
The rooftop is a very distinct space at Emiliano Rio, with an infinity pool that allows you to enjoy the breath-taking view of Copacabana, one of the most famous beaches in the world. To complement the scenario, the pool side restaurant offers a light and healthy menu freshly prepared with organic and seasonal ingredients.
Hotel Emiliano Rio is an exotic paradise cast in contemporary style and nuanced with the ethos and energy of iridescent Rio de Janeiro. A trip to this summery destination will stay with you long after departing its shimmery shores and effervescent invitations.
