With the opening of Le Gray, Beirut finally has the hotel it deserves – a contemporary luxury hotel as stylish as the city itself. Le Gray is located in the historic heart of downtown Beirut, 15 minutes' drive from Rafic Hariri International Airport, in the smart Beirut Central District. It offers cool, modern interiors, with 87 wonderfully spacious rooms and sensational suites, exciting restaurants, all accompanied by warm and highly professional service.
There are spectacular vistas of the Mediterranean, Mount Lebanon and the city’s impressive architecture from the rooftop, where Indigo on the Roof restaurant, Bar ThreeSixty and the swimming pool have superb vantage points.
The outstanding facilities are completed by the chic Gordon’s Café, the tranquil and delightful PureGray spa, the high-tech gym and the boardroom. There is also 24-hour valet parking. Le Gray brings the individuality of the Campbell Gray Hotels to the heart of the Middle East.
Beirut Central District is in the smart downtown district, which has been the subject of a wonderful restoration, and is close to some of the best shopping and entertainment in the city. The hotel lies at the meeting point of the historical Martyrs’ Square and the chic Weygand Street.
Once again, Gordon Campbell Gray has collaborated with renowned interior designer, Mary Fox Linton to create a look that is cool, sleek and modern. The palette includes beige and light shades of blue, sage green or lilac, with dark grey tile and mosaic bathrooms. Le Gray has 87 rooms and suites, 62 of which are Executive Suites of 60sqm and 10 exquisite one-bedroom corner suites. The fifth-floor accommodation is all-suite including two Presidential Suites with generous private terraces.
The architecture by Australian Kevin Dash ensures all rooms and suites are soaked in Mediterranean sun, while the central floor-to-ceiling, glass-topped atrium means the building is filled with light from the inside out.
In addition to Le Gray’s stunning contemporary design, the property houses a private contemporary art collection of more than 500 pieces.
From a gastronomical perspective - Gordon’s Café is vibrant all day, serving light breakfast, fresh salads, organic dishes, fresh fish, homemade pasta and English afternoon tea with homemade tarts. The café is located on the ground floor with a side-walk terrace and is open from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm.
Pool-side dining is available at the Pool Lounge, with indoor and outdoor seating, providing light and healthy dishes, fresh juices and smoothies. The Pool Lounge is located on the 6th floor, open from 8:00 am till sunset. The Cigar Lounge offers fine Cuban cigars matched with delicate whiskies, cognacs and other spirits.
At sunset, the Pool Lounge puts on its evening attire and gets ready to join Beirut’s nightlife. Aimed at attracting a young and stylish crowd, Cherry on the Rooftop - open May through September - is a lounge-bar with plenty of comfortable red and white couches, superb innovative cocktails, sharing platters, light bites and wonderful music! For an alternative, Bar ThreeSixty - open October through April - is located on the 7th floor, serving select martinis and great cocktails from classic to creative, and boasts a magnificent circular view of the city and the surroundings.
For a relaxing escape, the PureGray Health Club and Spa offers six treatment rooms including one for couples, and a wet treatment room. Natura Bissé products are used for treatments. In addition, available facilities include an outdoor heated rooftop swimming pool, as well as a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, built-in TV and personal sound systems.
